hello, i am going to promote a product from the clickbank marketplace and i want to know that is their a way that a person enters my site and if he likes my product then he makes a purchase from my site without going to the vendors website.is it necessarry to give the link of the vendors site or i can just make them buy on my website.if yes then how thanks
I'm pretty sure you have to send traffic the vendor's landing page. That's how the system works usually. Vendors focus on a high conversions, affiliates just send traffic. Try contacting the vendor if you have other ideas. I'm sure they can better answer your question.
I would imagine you need to send the traffic to the vendors site, there needs to be a way clickbank can record the sale
You could build your own page and just link to the product's ClickBank check out page...I've done that on occasions where the vendor's product is good, but the sales page is clumsy or full of spelling mistakes...I never had any problem...Just be sure that you're using your affiliate ID or you won't get credit for the sales...I'm sure the vendors don't care, as long as they get the sales...
thanks paulmagno.can you tell me how can that be done.i mean there is single affiliate link given by clickbank.should i alter it or what
This thread will tell you how: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=591165 There is a down side to doing this, though...and it is also explained on this thread.
If the person buys right then and there, you won't lose any sales...What you will lose, if I'm not mistaken, is the cookie that will allow future sales to be tracked back to your ID.
so you mean that if someone thinks of buying or not buying and then leaves the page and decides to buy it from my site then i will not get commission.
Nope...if he still come back to your site and buy you will get the commission. Only if the customer clicked on some other affiliate link which is kept in the cookie there is a possibility to lose it. However, what are the chances one single customer to click to 2,3 different clickbank affiliates links?
So I can't create my own landing page for the product I want to promote? I HAVE to use their template? Is that what your saying?
No...if they buy it from your site, you will get the sale.....unless they already have the cookie from some affliliate's page...The cookie from the affiliate's page will override your link and, conceivably, they would get credit for a sale made on your site...At least, that's how I understand it. But I have no idea if this has ever happened to me...
No, not at all...It's actually recommended to make your own landing page...The question is whether you want to link to the vendor's sales page or directly to the order form...
it will be fine. Either take this risk or never make a sale at all because the vendor's page is so bad. There are so many crap sales pages on clickbank. I would just do it.
This depends of the vendor. Some vendors provide you direct link to a sales page and some not. Check Vendor spotlight zone!
Assuming your vendor doesn't mind/gives you permission: Scenario 1 = you try to use the aff_vendor_pay link that you see around, IF another affiliate already got to that customer but they didn't buy, they simply got to the landing page, clicked onto the sales page, got a cookie, and left the page to keep searching... then came across your custom lander, and you link directly to the vendors pay page using the link above, your link will NOT over-ride theirs. Basically = if someone is already cookied, your link won't work. Your link will only work if you are the first, and only affiliate to reach that customer. Sceario 2 = Your custom lander page has a BUY NOW button, you send that button to a redirect page, let's call it redirect.php. On redirect.php you have two things happen - 1. you cookie stuff it with a 1x1pxl with your hoplink inside it (wait I'll explain why it's ok to cookie stuff this way), and 2. you redirect straight to payment page the normal way a vendor would do it - i.t. 1.vendor.pay.clickbank.net. So what basically happened there was your customer IS NOT cookie stuffed because they only get served the cookie once they click the 'buy' button, thus showing interest that they are indeed going to buy. If they leave your lander, you won't be serving a cookie. ^ Hope you get that. There are a few softwares out there that automate this exact process for you and make it seamless, but this is basically what they do. N.
hey everyone whenever we go to buy on clickbank there is always a https page meaning it has an sll certificate.if we use our own landing page and do not send traffic there and use an order button is it necessary to have that ssl certificate there or will it get automatically included when i alter my hoplink as mentioned above.
Your hop link will automatically redirect your user to sale's landing page. So you don't have to worry about that.
