I would also recommend that you develop your own personality for your blog, and use something original. all MMO blogs look the same theses days. Same layout, same 125 x 125 ad blocks, same banners, same colors, same plug ins. Same, same, same.

If you are going to imitate a well known and popular blog with a simular theme and subject, , all it will do is remind me to go to that blog and get the information from the source or from a known professional.

    Be original.

Im trying to go the other way actually.
The main focus of this blog is to really give away FREE the insight details that no one is giving.

What I mean is: how to really stand out on google, the greyhat techniques and so on.
I read the top mmo blogs and I agree with you, they all loo the same, they all use the same plugins and so on.

I appreciate theinput from you hmansfield.

searching for a theme its a never ending quest, you'll always like some features from others that you did not select, my advice, stay simple!

If you want good themes you need to look at the designers selling the premium themes. The backend features are well worth the investment. Most designers will customize them for a small fee to suit your needs. Afterall if you are going to blog about how to make money you might as well put your best presentation in the forefront. And unfortunately there are very few free themes that can compete with the look and administration ease of a premium theme. It's $20-$80 well spent. You wouldn't buy a house from a Realtor that showed up in an old volkswagon. Image matters.

Well said. Nothing say's "Hack" more than a MMO blog where the owner doesn't make enough to cover a decent theme, or even worse...on free hosting.
I wouldn't trust anything, or any ad on the page.
