Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me out with this. I have a seagate 80G hard-drive from my old apple laptop that broke. Some crazy ass asian friend of mine dropped a glass of water on it. Well...... Yeah it was more like an alcoholic drink, and I can say he was a little drunk too . But anyways, the thing is, I need some sort of cable or adapter so i can get my stuff out of it and also use it as a external storage device if possible. I have searched everywhere without any luck, I don't want to go crazy and buy something I will not be able to use... The ideal one would have an usb cable as thats pretty much the only way I got to transfer the data to my other laptop. Here are some of the stuffs I found, but I am not so sure if I should get em. http://www.cooldrives.com/seatatousb20.html (yeah, there is a funny looking dude talking about it LOL.) http://www.apricorn.com/product_detail.php?type=family&id=39 http://www.sataadapter.com/SS-125-SSD.html http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer Technology/U2NV2SPATA/ Here is the info from the hard drive: Seagate Momentus 5400.2 80GB MER2S 655-1285A *JY62107HMU4KA* Model: ST98823AS PN: 9W3183 - 040 I will really appreciate some help with this. Am sure some of you have tried something like this. Thanks in advance
you can use one of the following mobile case for external use of ur hdd. http://www.geeks.com/products_sc.asp?cat=405 Hope it will help you.
Thanks guys, I think am gonna get the one at geeks.com... Not sure how that works though, Does it include the cable for the power supply too? As far as I know it has to have two cables, one to transfer the data and another one to power the HD itself...
