One of my buyers charged me close to 60 USD. I sent some details to paypal including screenshots as a proof. Almost 1 month is over and funds still on hold. Yesterday paypal sent me this email stating : Using the information you sent us, we are disputing the buyer's request to reverse the payment. The buyer's company has reversed the charges for this payment. We have placed a temporary hold on the disputed funds until this matter is resolved. If the card company decides the case in your favor, the funds will be available in your PayPal account. The credit card company has charged PayPal a settlement fee for this chargeback. According to the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, we debited your PayPal account to cover this fee. Code (markup): Now, I noticed under "Chargeback Settlement" they have deducted an extra $10 (also the disputed payment is still on hold) from my account. My question is: Will this case ever get resolved or by any chance I might get the money back? And how much extra money can paypal deduct for this settlement fees from my account? Anyone pls help me out or share his/her experience.
Well normally PayPal decides the case in one month but as you said one month is already over so it seems that they gonna take 2 weeks extra and thats the maximum they gonna wait for. Well as we are not aware of the fact that for which item buyer placed a dispute with you so can't tell if you can get your money back but if its intangible item that your chances to win this case is minimum and you can loose money. But I don't think PayPal will charge you anything extra then this $10. Thanks
