Hey, I am pretty savvy with computing, although once it comes to video editing I don't have a clue, so I am needing someone to point me in the right direction here. Basically I am trying to extract segments of the DVD from the DVD, these need to be edited because I am creating web content for a DVD. These videos need to be in very high quality, if anything lossless. These videos need to be streamed online, most probably through YouTube, Vimeo, etc. I am not trying to necessarily extract exact chapters, so if I could extract the video by a timeline, this would be more appropriate. Anyway if anyone can point me in the right direction in terms of what software to use I would appreciate this very much. THANKS.
Thanks, are they pretty straight forward to cut? I'm OK with Photoshop and other Adobe products but never really touch either of them two.
Adobe is pretty good. It may seem complicated, I know one which is easy to use and has great features for eding dvd video. That is AVS Video ReMaker. It is a professional dvd editor to edit MPEG files without re-encoding. Cut unwanted parts and remove TV advertisings from DVDs or video files recorded with various PVR, DVR & DVD camcorders, cutting the unnecessary scenes and episodes and leaving only the ones you need. You can free download it here: http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-ReMaker.aspx Also, you can take a look at the step by step guide about how to use it form wikihow: http://www.wikihow.com/Edit-Dvd-Video-With-Avs-Video-Remaker
If you look at premiere then also look at Final Cut Pro, in my opinion it's much better, but also only for Mac. Good Luck!
