Hi I have a simple site selling an eebook (common style) Its a keyword rich domain and has less than 600.000 competing pages However I cant get the damn thing to rank at all It has a PR2 and 655 links (more than some on page 1) I have the exact same domain as the number one position expect with a dash - I have been told that makes no difference I have noticed that google is picking up my site as mydomain.com while all the rest on page 1 have www.websites.com does this make a difference should I change it to www. and if so how Thanks
I'm not sure if the www makes a difference or not. I have been taught to not use www since it will rank faster without I think (I dont know why). Your links pointing back to your site need to be web 2.0 links and have some kind of authority. If you have just been pinging backlinks to your site they wont count for much. You get what you put into this business so writing articles will help a lot. I use ez article link to get backlinks. It works.
Id really doesn'y make a difference, in fact, without the www. you acutally have a higher keyowrd density
Its a single page sales letter Some of the links come from sites related to the niche some dont It has a digg Its not so much the fact its not at no 1 or on the 1st page but it doesnt seem to be in the top 1000 I have used the same seo strategy with sites I have designed but not owned and they rank fine but I can get it to work with my own site
