    Hi Everyone,

I am planning to design a portal all on my own. i have though about the top level design as of now.

The site is related to software engineering.

Home page will contain the details and what should one expect to find in the site.

Now there should be multiple tabs..containing details on "Training" offered, "recommended" books, links to "Blogs", Jobs section etc

I mean tabs would be like Home|Training|Forums|Books|Jobs|Blogs

Can someone please guide me as to which script/software would be appropriate for my needs? any other suggestions most welcome

Please let me know if you need some more details.

@newpbc and @mubheer@mvs.us: Could you please through some light on how I can do this with wordpress? I know WP and have been using it for quite some time but I am not able to figure out as to how WP would be suitable for my case. #1 reason could be that the nature of portal wouldn't be dynamic as in case of blogs( for which wordpress is generally used for) but it would be static.

geekology take a look look at the premium theme link on my signature then follow any of the demo links to the revolution themes they are perfect for portal pages built 3 or 4 sites around it now.
