I'm currently helping a friend rank for good keywords for their website lendacheck.com When I logged into their webmaster tools I see that the keyword they're ranking highest for is a mispelled word "Fash Cash" not "Fast Cash". I did not see any mispelled words anywhere on their site, or in their meta tags, how did Google pick up this keyword and assign it to this website? Can I remove that keyword or change it to "Fast Cash"? Below is a screenshot of what I'm seeing.
well fash cash must be somewhere on their site or in some anchor text pointing to their site! BUt it is often a good idea to target mispellings...and in this case I would be delighted.
your site appears in the position 7 for those keywords, no need to worry if your site is reciveing trafic from a misspelled keyword, because as long as this trafic flow continues, it means this is a common mistake and you are most related to the term how did that keyword get to be assigned to your site ? maybe somehwere, someone used this misspelled word under he/she put your link. great day to you and to your friends
I guess having a misspelled word is not a bad thing after all. I just wish I was ranking for the real spelling. haha
