I'm working for a local tax preparation franchise, which was just started less than two weeks ago. I'm looking for ideas on how to build our Facebook audience. They are looking to reach out to customers within a 10 mile radius of our location. Most of the friends and personal contacts of the employees and owners live too far away from that location to provide a prime customer base. I am doing Facebook marketing in the past but never started a page completely from scratch, especially with no potential contacts. Thanks for the help.
For something that operates locally, I highly recommend you invest your time in using Facebook's ad platform. Facebook allows you the ability to target your audience based upon geographical data, keywords, age... you name it! Its all there for you to utilize.
Thanks, I will definitely look into that. I never even thought about that. . As long as they are not too expensive it should be a good idea.
Think of places to market your page. Get out on other social media sites like Twitter and Google Plus to spread the word. Get creative. Think about where your audience would hang out, and get in front of them.
Local is easy. All you have to do is call a TV or radio station and tell the producer that you have a tax expert who can discuss the following: 1. 3 things you need to know about the new Tax Code 2. An easy way to find out How much you will get back. 3. 4 things you NEVER knew you could "write off." Etc...etc. Make sure your client has a link to some cool tool or blog post on their Facebook page. Then the TV and radio stations can promote on the air AND on their pages! Know how many local followers TV and radio stations have? THOUSANDS!!!
