I am a graphic design student, and I also want to be a web designer. I can't decide whether to buy Adobe CS4 Design premium or the CS4 Master Collection. Will I need everything in the Master Collection?

Photoshop is enough for web design but you may need Illustrator too for more advanced illustrations works.

You can start with the Premium edition ... use the Premium tools and if ever you'll need more tools then you can just upgrade to the Master Collection.

I think you can save cash that way.

Adobe is the industry standard and Design Premium has everything you need for the majority of projects. You can go open source for anything beyond it.

    Cheers!

    Hey guys

Just came across this thread and I am working with Adobe, and so I have some additional info that may help.

Just in case you are not aware, as a student, you can get Creative Suite 4 Student Editions for up to 80 percent off.

It may help you to look at this Student Editions product overview which lays them out side by side.

    http://studenteditions.adobe.com/#/studentEditionProducts/overview

If you have any questions, let me know.
