i signed up for a godaddy shared hosting plan and made a proxy site like 2 weeks ago. now the site is too busy and keeps on going offline. would hostgators reseller account be enough to hold my proxy. i have no idea where to go from here.

No. A shared account will not work for a proxy that is getting busier and busier. Your best bet would be to go to a vps, or a small dedicated server.

I have been in the proxy industry for more then 2+ years now. And all I can say is that shared hosting is not good at all. Vps is better but it's almost the same as shared hosting. But the best thing is dedicated server. If you don't have the money and you don't have to much traffic, go for a vps.

Contact thewird well known in the proxy industry, he has Vps and dedicated server ready for you.

If your proxies been to popular, you need a lot of bandwidth if you are using phproxy script, there are a lot of other proxy script that use less bandwidth.

You can buy a dedicated server for hosting proxies.

proxy sites are so easy to scale, keep your current host and buy a few more.
Your best of choosing smaller hosts that don't limit outbound connections for proxy's.
