Need help choosing a background

Hello,
I am learning to create websites as a project. I recently just uploaded a seamless pattern that I liked to my webpage. It can be seen at http://www.mynbachannel.com

What I am having a hard time finding is a div layout background that would complement the webpage background. The div layout is going to be centered. Should I go with a solid (maybe white?) color or something like a light patten?

Any input is greatly appreciated
