This morning I caught a member spamming my forums with this IP Address 139.121.118.46 and they kept spamming in my forums blogs, so I have banned the user and the IP Address, but for some reason after I have done that then the same IP keeps coming back to the forum even though they are banned, they cannot see anything but it says i have 77 guests online in my forum and it is all this same IP : SOL-FTTB.139.121.118.46.sovam.net.ua is there anyway to stop this person????? PLEASE HELP, ANYTHING WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!! MY FORUM IS IN MY SIGNATURE BELOW, IF YOU GO THERE THEN YOU CAN SEE IT FOR YOURSELF. ALSO I HAVE DELETED EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE SPAMMED BUT THEY JUST KEEP TRYING TO COME BACK TO THE SITE.

well i am guessing that the person has finally given up after some time, I looked when i woke up this morning and it had said that there was 663 members online lastnight and I am pretty sure this is where most of them had came from, but I have not seen them since, so I am hoping the problem is solved!!!!! ;)

When using a software such as VB or even .htaccess files to ban IP's, they are still able to make it to the web server, then they get rejected. If you were to ban the IP at the firewall level, they would never make connections to your web server daemon.

I think there are VBulletin plugins to block IP's with a lot of requests/time
