Hi, First of all I need someone who knows what I'm talking about, if you don't, or fail to read this 'whole' post before contacting me I'll ignore you. Basically I have a client who's given me a signature he wants posted in some forums, the problem is the signature is a picture. The picture obviously isn't being hosted on the forums site, therefore it's a link to the picture. The problem is the picture needs to be 'clickable' and then after beinng clicked, go to the url I want, not it's own url. By the look of it most forums don't accept BB code blocks that would allow me to do this, is there another way around it, not html, that's very rarely accepted these days. Ultimatley I need it to do this: [CENTER] [url=http://faceofmillions.com/]face of millions[/url] [url=http://faceofmillions.com/][IMG]http://i.imgur.com/DTy2G.gif[/IMG][/url] [/CENTER] Code (markup): From the sites I've got to somewhat accept the picture, some either allow a clickable url at the top of the image or some just allow me to paste the link, you know the http://etc.etc. Nothing so far allows the image to be clicked on and take me to the desired site, unlike the example above, which is exactly what I'm trying to get it to do. I believe if you quote me you'll see the code the above example is using. I need someone to give me an alternative way to do it, another way around, suggest something I'm skipping over, etc. Please feel free to post here or PM me. I need a solution found ASAP and will pay for the one that actually works. I also require someone/some people to go through and make a list of large forums, preferably aimed at teens/young adults, that accept the kind of signature I want to post (picture that can forward to site I choose), or at very minimum will allow me to post an image with a link above it, exaclty how is demonstrated above. Please only apply or try and help if you know what I'm on about, otherwise you're wasting everyones time.
It really depends on the forum software being run. I'm not aware of any other ways of using tags other than BB-code and HTML. Most forums do allow BB-codes however they may have set a post count threshold for adding links.
Cheers Cucumba, man what a cool username! The problem I have isn't with the link so much, just more of how to embbed the url of the site into the image to make it 'clickable'. For example on a site you build, because you have uploaded the images to a server you can make an image clickable. I'm wondering whether there's a site or another way around this? I'm ending this post abrublty as I've just had a million dollar idea..... Anyone know where to go to get help 'creating/launching an idea like this?
