Hello, I want to launch my own webhosting, Not Reselling, Mean i want to buy a Server, with good configuration, but i cant afford too high rates, please advise me, tell me what should i do? i want to offer web hosting services. guide me step by step please..

A good idea is to start out with a VPS, which works like a dedicated and acts like a dedicated.. But you share maybe a dedicated with 4-5 others..

You get your own control panel (HyperVM) were you can access ssh, restart the server, shut it down. You can see how much space, bandwidth and ram you have used...

You get dedicated resources to you, like RAM, Bandwidth and Space.. You can install what you need and what you want.. The only thing you share is the CPU with the other users..

Basicly, a VPS is like a dedicated, acts like a dedicated and is cheaper.. This is a good way to start out as a hosting company...

Thanks, i can pay 7$ max monthly, wel it depends upon my earning, as a programmer and designer i have to earn enough money to bear expenses, but i am not earning wel at the moment, i will also launch my websites and i will offer my services like designing programming, and hosting on my VPS..so suggest me please, also help me to bear expenses, advise me how to earn to bear hosting expenses . i hope you all will do your best to help me as a friend.

I am sorry to say that you are going to be very skilled to find a VPS with control panel and good enough specs to start a webhosting company... It looks like you need to start off with a reseller, which allows you to sell Shared accounts instead of resellers & shared accounts...

But i think it is going to be hard to find a quality reseller for 7$ per month, our lowest plan for a reseller is 9.95$ per month, were you get hosted on quality servers, great support and good customer care

wel i need information, i will start my company in Feb 2008 or june 2008, i want to learn every thing about hosting management, let me know if any ebook available for this.. my budget depends upon my income..

 

There isnt ebook or so for web hosting.
You must have good skills,experience and communication skills.
Also,as a company,you must hire 2-3 techs to cover support 24/7.
So your 7$/mo is nothing
You must invest some money,if you want quality services,which will profit after 1 year or so.

4. Buy a "RESELLER" account
5. register custom name servers
6. Sit at your computer all day hoping that customers will come and contact live support (haha joke)
7. Advertise
8. Sit at your computer even longer watching 1 or 2 people stop by a week...for like 3 seconds and then deciding that they don't want your services and leave
9.sit at your computer all day again.

wel i will start Designing and Programming Services first, after getting enough money i will hire 2-3 techs, and a designer and a programmer, i will try to increase my budget, i hope i will do a better business after getting all information and preparation, wel i hope my friends will also favor me and support me in my business.
