Hello I have a car related site the domain is www.cardriven.com I need some cheap ways to advertise the site lol.. I have been doing a lot of directory submitting yet I feel I need to do other things.. What could i do to get members I need members badly!!
You should buy my tips, I promise you, you will learn everything you will ever need. You can master the web if you get it, trust me. Look in sig.
AddAnImage.com has a lot of car categories that you could post in - you can post as many times as you like and each one goes on the front page... it's FREE to Good luck, Cheers, p.
If your looking to hire a marketing consultant I could offer my services. PM me for my rates and experience history if your interested.
I would suggest getting some more forum members (even if they're paid posters) because your home page looks so barren right now. If you're advertising and sending people there, they don't have much incentive to join. So either pay people to post so it looks active, or have big contests where people get entered if they register and post on your forums. Or, cheaper, look for other people starting up forums and do post exchanges. (I've seen these in B/S/T before.)
Thanks this was very helpful I will try to think of a way to make something great on my home page haha
i dont really like signing up at other forums and promoting mine just as I wouldnt allow people to do it at mine
Well, in that case: check out these FREE traffic tips Alright... here's couple of suggestions: 1) Take that really large car picture away - now it's interfering with seeing the community 2) Put a "register" (or "free register") link in the text "CarDriven.com the fastest growing car community..." 3) If you say that your site is "faster growing", then it suggest me that you don't really have trouble finding people - but since you are here asking, I get the feeling you are not really the fastest growing site. This kind of "small" thing can be crucial: you are not keeping your promise - which can alienate people 4) Not sure how it could work, but you could try showing "forums" as the first page, instead of the current landing page. 5) Contests... use the magic of contests Good luck with your site, it looks pretty good (even though I'm no fancypancy car-dude)
Write Articles and publish them at Ezine articles it will help for backlinks purposes and get you a few clicks aswell..
If you are honest and helpful, then many will not see it as spam. Join a forum or three follow the tips here: Forum Link Building tips (it's not just your signiture!). By adding to the other communities, you can often ad to yours. And if you do have a forum on the site, then you could likely recruit a few members to help you with getting the word out (Promote your forum with a Street Team) And as for allowing spam on your site --> When it's OK to allow spam I have other tips in even more threads, but heh... I really do think I may be crossing that spam line as it stands, so I'll just leave well enough alone. Either way though, remember, place the communities you join first, and your site second. Be helpful, and offer as much content as you can without pushing duplicate filters. You'll find that you are helping not only your site, but the car community as a whole. I hope I've helped... Q
Thanks! And in you quoting me, I caught a typo of mine that actually works better with the missing D... By adding to the other communities, you can often ad to yours.*shrug* But like I said, if you are actually helpful, then you will often find people do not consider it spam. I see people linking to off site pages here all the time... I consider MOST of them helpful. Though, be careful not to link to your own site too often. The mods might catch on that you only offer one source. One way to get around that is to submit articles to article directories (that link to your page) and then link to them. It'll help the article site raise it's PR, which in turn raises the potential to get your article PR raise, which in turn helps your site (Promoting your site by promoting someone else's) You may also wish to socially tag a few of the threads you post in on other sites, as that too can help you in the long run (though indirectly).
