Need help adding traffic stats to story.php please help :(

I'm trying to add traffic stats to the story.php but I get an error when selecting the comments and trying to place a comment. I add the traffic stats code to the footer and I can't verify it's even there. Where would I add the following code?

It looks like your script outputs something before a header() function.

You can use the ob_start() and ob_ end_ flush() or some other Output Buffer functions.

 

yeah I can't get this script to work no matter what I do. When I add it before the php tag it works but then when selecting the comment links from the index page it will display errors on the landing page for the comments. Anywhere else I add it, it just doesn't get recognized by traffic stats when I verify the script.

 

Shouldn't you add it to the Smarty templates instead of story.php?

 

When I do this godaddy traffic stats can't verify the script is there!

Can you tell me what you mean buy Smarty just to ensure were on the same page?

 

Smarty is a templating engine which seperates HTML content from the PHP code. You should have a directory on your server somewhere called /templates/.

Have a look in there for footer.tpl or I guess pligg.tpl as that's referenced in the code. Add the tracking code to the bottom of there.

 

wow is that all I had to do in order for all the pages to work with one easy edit? Add that script to the pligg.tpl file?
