I have installed joomla 1.5.3(without sample data) and start inserting data install modules like Virtue Mart , Xmap etc , created sections , articles etc .. Now it's time to change the look.. i have designed my template that very simple based on <div> tag, now when i apply it to default no preview is shown.. blank page.. how can i call my data in this template everything.. modules, components, login, navigations and the links that are shown after the login of the user.. please help me breifly i shall be very thankfull to u...
I also need to know how to convert a template to Joomla. Joomla has a large, active community. Since no one at DP has been able to answer, maybe you would be better off asking at joomla.org. ps. First off, why are you using 1.5.3 when the current Joomla version is 1.5.9 ? Update that version for security purposes. You sound like you need to re-examine the templates that do show their review. Look in the templates index.php files, the .css files, and any other such as the templateDetails.xml files of the default templates and duplicate what was done in the default templates. Make sure you name your images correctly for the preview (when you mouseover ) and for "template preview" pages under "Template Manager" . There is a lot more to making your custom template work. I do not make templates, but simply adjust the defaults to my liking.
