    Dear Forumers,

I have recently launched a website call UltiAsia, with the aim of providing tournament reports and tips, knowledge sharing with the Ultimate Frisbee community in Asia.
The website was launched about 1 month ago, and so far I have about 1500 pageviews and 550-600 unique visitors (results from GA).

My long term plan is to rack up revenue model from advertising, would that be the right direction to go to? How does Mashable get their revenue from just being a leading content provider?

I have a few questions which I hope you experts can help me out in terms of monetizing the site in the long run.
Note: I want to put it ad free for the next 3-6 months and also no in text advertising. In text affiliate program is fine with me.

    1. What tools do websites use to track visitors and others if their revenue model is from advertising?
    2. What metrics should I be looking at to determine the value that I could charge for advertising? Is pageviews and unique visitors the right one?
    3. At what level of metrics would people would be willing to start paying? And how much?
    4. What are the ad platforms available for me to source for advertisers apart from Google? Is there one which I get paid based on CPM?
    5. Is there any other revenue model that is potential with such website?

Thanks. Looking forward to all of your help. Much appreciated.

The metrics will vary by niche. I would say that you need at least a few 100 Unique visitors per day before you have Penis traffic too much ice. But again this can vary by niche. If 1 out of 100 visitors but a lamborghini Then you could do well with Just a few visits per day.

Hmm, ok 100 is something like an average benchmark. But then would 100 unique visitors per day according to google analytics be a strong supporting evidence? Or I should use other Analytic tool?

And how much can be expected for 100 unique visitors per day?
    Thanks.

Have you considered a subscription based model? If the information you rpovide on tournaments etc truly is excellent, then perhaps 5000 users would be willing to pay $1 subscription fee per month?

    here id your answers dude:
    1. i use motigo.com for tracking my visitors.
    2. actually i don't understand your question dude. sorry :(
    3. if your CPA are targeted to the audience and if they get what they need in your site then you will get conversion. they must pay for this.
    4. you can use adbrite, chitika etc for PPC and for CPM you have to find those people who are interested to ad on your site.
    5. you can use other affiliate programs to get some more revenue.
    i think that's enough.

From my point of view, Epom Market is better to work with, if you need to monetize traffic. My story goes like this: have around 1M page views in Japan. Had some unfortunate experience with other international networks, as they usually give only 0. 05, it’s too little, and the local networks have turned out utterly impossible to cooperate with. With Epom Market I earn 0.3 – 0.5 on display now
