    Hi guys

I need hosting but I am very confuse because of following questions
1-which hosting is best+cheap for wordpress
2- what is US based hosting, I heard many times "hosted on US server" etc, what is this? how to choose this?
3- I have seen many offers like "domain is free with hosting" is this good offer?

    Regards
    SM

    Hi,

Don't confuse yourself. Let me clarify. If you are new you can go for shared hosting for wordpress. Server location matters only when your main audience is of that country only but most of the time it doesn't matter. Don't go with domain is free with hosting offers as they will bill you triple the amount you will pay for first year.

The best advice I an give you is to go for shared hosting on hostgator, bluehost or godaddy as they provide very good customer service and can help you get setup.

Shared hosting means that you will be hosting your website on shared resources on the server and that is why it is cheap. shared hosting is not free but you can get few websites which provide it but no customer service at all.

Their are many free hosting yet what i would suggest is not to go with *free plans to avoid performance and downtime related issues .Support in free hosting is not as per level .

Choose any decent provider and select them on basis of features ,uptime history and support .Better to go with Litespeed + SSD powered host for optimal performance .

yes of course, depends on how many addon domains you got :)
    If you got 3 addon domains on your shared hosting package then you can host 3 additional websites on same, {total 4 websites, one primary, 3 additional}

Yes, you can. Make sure you check how many 'add-on' or additional domains are offered when buying plan

For example, HostGator Shared Hatchling plan allows hosting single domain, but Baby plan allows hosting unlimited domains

Alright so addon domains means how many additional sites I can host.
In this case {total 4 websites, one primary, 3 additional} is there any difference in performance in primary and additional websites?

Hostgator and Bluehost are under EIG group management. Many customers are not satisfying with the kind of services they are receiving from EIG group companies. I would recommend you to consider individual Hosting service provider. You can get better customer satisfaction with such companies.

I would like to recommend WebhostUK LTD as good Hosting service provider. They are simply good because of their fast support. I have also heard a lot about RSHosting. Many customers have recommended RShosting for cheap and reliable hosting.

I'd recommend to carefully check review sites and general feedback about the hosting provider you're thinking to go with...

No one has touched on this yet, but you will want to register your domain name at a different company than where you are hosting. For example, use namecheap or godaddy for the domain name and bluehost for the hosting.
This makes it easier if you want to leave your hosting company, you still have the domain name.

I like the whois privacy, the rest don't bother. There is an easy backup module in cpanel.
