    Hi,

I don't know whether i m posting to right category. I need urgent help. I have used my websites: http://www.mysite.com GA code to subdomain of the same site: http://subdomain.mysite.com.

But its not tracking the traffic on subdomains. Please help me can i use same GA code for domain and subdomain both or i have to create separate analytics code for subdomains?

    thanks in advance

means check your GA console code again. go into GA login and check for status again. if nothing seems ok edit the link again and copy analytics code to the footer of that subdomain's index page. Then u will receive.

Some people say that google views subdomains as a whole separate website from the html root. So try setting up a subdomain in your GA account and getting a new code just for it.

But, you should be able to use the same code anywhere on the site - regardless if its a subdomain or not. Is the code installed on a blog, or a forum? If so, where in the software code did you put the GA code.

Any page that has the GA code should show up in Analytics - even if it's on a different domain all together. Double check whether the code is installed correctly on the pages in your subdomain.

I think subdomain and domain is seen as different site. So you should create different Google analytics code.
