Need Fresh Unique Design $20/$25 for the winner.

Ok guys and dolls.

I need an image designing for my website www.beautiful-letdown.com

I need a header to go across the top of the site not a logo a header dimensions should be header like to either cover the whole of the top or at least look pretty good in the size it is.

Our default mascot/logo is this:



A butterfly but I'm looking for something unique so chances are if you can stray away from the Butterfly and make it look 110% AMAZING your onto a winner.

Colour should just fit the default theme for vbulletin as the site is as we aren't changing the theme

The site is a support forum for people suffering depression and mental health issues.

Check it out you will get a drift of the site.

Here are some examples of what I like:



I love this as the person with his arm around the other person symbolises comfort and love and support the speech bubble represents support further and communication I love that it sums up what my site is about.



I love this one as it symbolises first aid the crosses which is self explanatory of why it is so good.

However don't copy these as they are more LOGOS not BANNERS which I am not looking for a LOGO it needs to fit across the top of my site but you have an idea of what I'm looking for.

Also I will need 2 small images to go with the header to show a new post and no new posts for my forum status icons if you can do these you will get an extra $5 onto the asking price.

My competition does come with a catch I need to use the images on my site before I will pay I will only end up using the winners obviously lol but for me to decide that winner I must put them into action on my site, providing a screenshot with them in action is good but I will STILL need to put them into action myself.

I will make my final decision and pay the winner on Thursday 4th February

I will also give reviews and feedback on all designs submitted to me

Not what I'm looking for image is to blury I am looking for an image with a kind of glossy look no reflections though kind of web 2.0 but not to web 2.0 ish lol :\ I want something with a clean and fresh look.

That image isn't what I'm looking for I like the butterfly in the heart concept that's interesting I suppose you could work with that.

A big no no is the site isn't called Advice For All it's called BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN the site is http://www.beautiful-letdown.com

It also doesn't go with the current design of my forums but thanks for trying hope to see some more of your entries but sadly I don't want to try this out on my board.

Hello,
I had a look at your site and the layout is very similar to Digital Point. Is that a coincidence?
Also, what is the "vBulletin" logo about? And lastly, do you want the same butterfly in the banner or do you need a fresh spin on it?

Digital Point use the same forum software as myself vBulletin that's why they look the same.

It's the custom logo I haven't changed it yet it comes with the forum software, either or I don't mind the butterfly being there but I did say in my first post I was looking for abit of a fresh spin on things.

As stated above it doesn't really matter as long as it looks good/fitting then it don't matter normal banner size to covering the top of my site I'm not bothered as long as it looks fresh clean and fits the rest of my site.

SCLewis this is the closest to what I am looking for, when I said dimensions don't matter though I meant it with reason I am not willing to resize images so that wouldn't fit at the top of my forum the background is huge it needs resizing.

I like it though not sure about the green branch :\ but it is the closest so far please resize so it's just the branch wording and butterflies with as little background as possible and re-upload I would like to test it live but I'm not sure if I will continue to use this I do like the butterflies though.

Defiantly the closest to what I am looking for.

About the green branch - i thought it might liven up the page a bit - having a nice nature green i think complements the blues of your website very well. -- is it the branch which you're not sure of, or is it the green colour?

I just think a little more could have been done with the image HOWEVER I do like it and would like to test it live on my board that's why I asked for the re-size your the only one so far to get through to me testing it live which is a good sign the purpose of me testing it live is to see if it is right for me and it gives me a few hours to decide

Usually I just buy an image really quick this time I want to wait till Thursday just so I can get a good variety of images and make a correct informed decision

@SCLewis I like the re-design I have put it into testing status on my board so your closest to winning.

Is it possible for you to make this with a transparent background I want to see how that works

Sure thing. What filetype is that? PNG or PSD?

 

PNG but you need to take away the background layer.

So there wont be a background

Sorry it's taking so long, i've been trying to upload it for about 10 minutes but it keeps failing. No problem tho - it'l work. just a few more minutes ; )

Something weird is going on. I selected the .png but it looks like it's saying it's a jpeg. we'll have to see once i send this.

I had a look at your site - it looks great with the banner. i think it should be centered tho.

I actually love this concept I'm going to put this into live mode I LOVE it.

HOWEVER.

The advantage SCLewis has over you is his is more web 2.0 fresh looking this isn't that glossy but by far the best.

Other thing that could ne improved on is you can't really tell the letter end at the end of the word LetdowN but I love it.

Not sure if this is the winner but I do love it and this will currently replace the current test logo.

I do actually like it a lot it fits nicely on my site and I am glad to came away from the butterfly idea as the rose works amazingly well love it so far.
