My site, Carolina Patchwork Quilts, needs a review from fresh eyes! I would like to jazz up my home page, but I can't see the forest for the trees, so to speak. 1. I am looking for a way to collapse the list of benefits and open when list item is clicked or show a tool-tip when mouse hovers over it. Or perhaps rotate the items so the motion will catch the visitors eye, and enticing them click to see more (on another page with the complete list and perhaps a coupon). I also need ideas on the heading, like "You are one smart shopper..." Instead of "Discover your benefits...(boring)". 2. I also need ideas on how to handle the traffic that is looking for a quilting store. I use negative keywords in my paid campaigns, but get a lot of bounces from direct traffic and SERPs. I thought about putting a link at the top of the page with something like "Looking for a quilting site?" or "Are you a quilter?" and send them somewhere with ROI for that traffic (without selling quilting stuff!) Ideas? I can't seem to find quilting stores with affliate programs. Can I tailor AdSense for quilting sites and link to a page with just those ads?
Maybe center the page and change the navigation on top. The site looks kind of spammy right now. If you update it right, it will look a lot better.
The site looks good, but IMO I would make the red a little brighter or something, it's looks a little dreary.
1. Buttons not look good. 2. you need to use more fresh colors 3. side banner very low quality 4. bottom footer looks big.
1. I would redo the nav buttons (as others have mentioned) 2. The image on the right is very hard to read 3. Clean up the footer area...try moving your buttons/seals along the right side of the page (under quilt image) other than that, I really like the logo and the content section. Good job!
