I want to create a online store to sell eBooks and other digital products. What is the best script that I use.

Can anyone point me to some online resource for this.

    Thanks in advance

My first ebook store is built with zencart. It supports digital products and works automatically.

Once the payment is done, your customers will be redirected back to your store with access to the download.

And it's absolutely free, as it's an open source cart.

    You can download zencart here.

I'd say either oScommerce or Magento are the best. I've not tried ZenCart yet so can't really comment on that, but oScommerce is really simple to use.

I highly recommend that you do your research into them before committing your time and energy.

Make sure the ones you're deciding between have an active, informative support within the community and from the developers. Look at what people are saying too. Are they complaining a lot?

I'd say to find one that is modular by design. You don't want to have to hack the core code, just to make a few changes (unless you are a high level user that has time on your side). Joomla and Drupal are both quite good and both have ecommerce modules that can be added. Take a good look at those.

Tried OScommerce, looks good only thing is I am not able to figure out how to sell digital product, what I want is that I would add a download link , and buyers can download eBooks from this link after they have paid.

Have anyone done this thing in osCommerce?
