Well as the topic title says, I am looking for some feedback/comments on a webdesign for my website [Second in signature]:

I thought the design I had now was a bit cluttered and also loaded slowly so I made the above design, what do you guys think of it? Any suggestions are welcome :)

    Not bad..

This design could still use more de-cluttering. For the spacing between the search option and the text beolow it (Fullsongs.net is a free, etc, etc) there could be more spacing... (100 pixels?) and then re-design the "join us know" section so that it's more eye catching).

Is the 100 recent searches necessary? Because that makes the layout more cluttered than it should.

Besides that, the color scheme works well with the white background :)

I like it but like the user above i think you should get rid of the 100 recent searches as it just makes the page looked cluttered

Uhh yeah the 100 recent searches is necessary, its there for SEO purposes :)
And Ill work on improving the spacing now, will post an updated version soon.

    Edit:
Made some minor changes including spacing, put a more visible and eye catching register button:

I agree with 8, you need some breathing room between the search box and the 30,00,000 songs banner... any de-cluttering is a good idea... look at how simple googles search engine is... there is basically nothing on the page!

you could try moving all the "top 10 songs" and stuff on the way bottom of the page to give the search box some breathing room!!!

good start though just keep trying to tweak it ^^!

You already have a Recently searched list and also a 100 Recent Search listing at the bottom. I suggest you get rid of one of these to get more room on the page. Then you can use that space to spread out the content/widget/banner better

I'd get rid of the 100 last searched list at the bottom, it really clutters the page. You don't get stuff like this on Google. You want to simplify it as much as possible. The colours are nice.

Well I am thinking of making a separate page for the 100 recent searches, something like a search cloud..but I am doubtful if google will give the links the same importance. Currently 70% of my visitors are from google and I don't want to ruin that..can anyone confirm if the link value would drop if I make a separate page for the searches?
Anyway thanks for the comments guys :)

Cool design. My suggestion is that you shoul put your Adsense ads at the top of the page, right below the title.

you will lose some potential in SERP if you try this one, although this is looking well and nice as clean sites attract much but the earlier one was also good I don't think there was anything wrong except the spacing on which you should work

I would SEO your site like you had earlier. On page factors such as this are important in Google's eyes so leave it the way it originally was.

Okay, Ill add the 100 recent searches to the bottom and I dont think the recent 10 searches are needed as the 100 searches would include those too. And I made a link to the top 10 songs which would be in a new page where I would also add a whole list of top songs according to various billboards. Is there anything else that any of you would recommend for SEO?

it's very nice but the text part is a bit cluttered. But again that could be because the screen shot is smaller than the actual size.

    very nice I think

I have attached a version of what I would do with the site. I like the colors and over all good layout. White space is important for the flow. I would not get rid of the top 10 and recently searched. Keep it above the 100. On-page SEO is all about keyword density. The most popular searches are the ones you want to have a higher density for so google will give it more consideration when indexing your page. By dropping that field you make all searches (keywords) equal and no real way for google to bring you higher for the top searches in the index.

    Good Luck,

    Marcusa007

PS.: some of the coloring is a bit rough in the layout attached, didn't have anymore time to mess with it, but you get the idea.
