Hello all, I recently launched an updated version of my companies website; www.americanstructures.com. With this new website came implementation of Google checkout and products available online for purchase in a few of the sections, right now im offering products online in the product categories of SS Cable, SS Rail and Aluminum Rail... Our website gets an average of 60+ unique visitors per day and as far as I can tell they are finding the products and browsing the pages but after a month of having the site up I haven't converted any orders. I could really use some feedback on the sites design and see if another pair of eyes can give me some insight into what I can do to start being profitable. Hi Flash and animation are nice, but they make the surf slow, so slow that I though there was a problem while surfing on the product pages, seeing nothing coming during seconds. I would say as well that the product description is not very good, I take one : "American Structures & Design, inc provides stainless steel rail solutions for any project you are faced with. Whether it's a bar, glass or cable system you have choices that will assist in accenting the project just as it was envisioned. Choose from 304 or 316 type stainless steel for environmental specific applications." I know nothing about the product (and my english is not very good), but I think something written more like : "Stainless steel rail is the ideal solution to make any inside stair safe. The rail is elegant, but it remains strong and is able to afford an high level of stress (public places, kids ...) ...". Point is to think in the way your customer think, what is the usage he's going to do, why does he the product and to define how the product will answer his needs. Some of the photographs are blur, noisy ... take only the best, forget the not good, it plays against you. Beside that, e-Commerce is not something you should play alone in your side. Do not hesitate to push your products on marketplaces, they will bring you traffic.
Just visit your portal and feel somewhere missing and really not looking like an online portal, Please don't Mind.. You have implement few things those can indicate that this is an online E-commerce portal. Also design work are not that much attractive. May be it is not enough to attract your visitors. In SEO term you have to do keyword Analysis first and put few in title bar and few in Meta Keyword Bar. Do guest post, Directory Posting etc to get a decent web presence. The most Vital Part is get a fresh and eye suitable design first. It is the main part to attract customers and do something that can indicate; it is an e-commerce web portal.
