Bazar is awesome. I moved my site to the Bazar theme last week and I couldn't be happier.

That being said, Woocommerce is a little more difficult for a newbie than Opencart or Magento. Opencart is very easy to configure and works pretty well right out of the box. It has alot of features, but it looks dated compared to other options out there.

If you are interested in during a woocommerce site yourself, check out this thread to hopefully avoid some of the mistakes I made

A believe some solution in PHP will be a better option for you like OpenCart or Magento

If you need something hosted then you can use Prestashop/BigCommerce/Shopify.

    Hi,

See If you see video demo of those stores. You will find both are easy.. just check for 2-3 hours how to manage backend panel of magento. actually wo-commerce is run on wordpress. And it could have malware, and slowdown your sites. run some script in background. Where magento is very much secure, as well you will find lots of features in that.. Most thing would be very cheap or free.
But it has facility to scalable if you reach to bigger level on e-commerce.

    All the best.

PHP is better but you can go for ecommerce platform like Magento or Prestashop or else website development will cost more. Have you bought server for hosting the website?

I think people should stop spreading that misconception or at the very least try explaining WHY is WP or any script insecure. You are talking about malware, hacks, backdoors and such but WHY is WP most famous for them? Easy. Because its the most popular one out there. Fact of the matter is that most of those issues come from the same type of mistakes clients make:

    - using nulled/free plugins (for which WP has an abundance)
    - using nulled/free themes (same thing)
    - using outdated plugins/themes
    - using outdated version of the software

Now, try using Magento an old version of the script along with some free plugins you found somewhere with a Google search and see if you won't run into any problems eventually.

I would go with woo commerce. It's easy to integrate into WordPress and easy to expand as well. It will also allow you to do more customization if needed. You can buy a theme at one of the popular sites like theme forest

Wordpress and WooCommerce is an easy way to go. It really depends on what you need. You can do affiliate, your own product or drop ship etc. There are importers for csv etc. to upload data from spreadsheet also. Even affiliate systems to create your own affiliate program are available to integrate.
    WooCommerce
Affiliate Example with wp-affiliate (no wooCommerce)
