Hello all.. I am quite frustrated to say the least... :-( Last night I changed the system time to my time zone, then restarted the dedicated server.. Next thing I know, it never comes back up... Been down ever since and I have no experience with dedicated servers or putty or plesk. My host basically said that they don't give support of dedicated servers, so I am left in the dark. Any help on what I should do would be quite helpful. I believe I should restart my plesk through putty? If anyone could help me, please pm me and I will return a favor for you. Regards, Zack B
I was actually in Plesk before it went down. I actually reset my system time because it the system uptime had a % in it and it didn't look right. I just set the system time to my "standard Phx time" .. After that I noticed that my site stats for users went from 190 to 20.. I thought that was strange so I rebooted the dedicated server.. Next thing I know, plesk and my site are down.. I can login to my ssh through putty and I figured out how to stop and restart plesk, but still nothing. :-( Have any ideas? Thanks a bunch Zack B
Hi Zack, Sounds like you are in need of some help. Where on earth did you get a server with no basic help to get essential services back up and running? That's not good... Can you get into Plesk? Are other services running? Try restarting psa but also httpd service psa restart service httpd restart Code (markup): Does httpd start properly? If not you might see some errors by checking the last few lines of the system httpd log: tail -n 20 /etc/httpd/logs/error_log Code (markup): It's hard to say without having direct access. I've been using Plesk for years... I'd take a look for as low as $20. Contact me at contact.listmailpro.com and pay me at paypal@ my domain. Regards
Hey, thanks for the help... I contacted plesk and they got me back up and running. ;-) I appreciate your help. _Zack
I use plesk all the time and I actually love it , I have been using it for like 3 years now... Could you tell us what the problem was so we can learn from this. Thanks in advance
I guess they forced an update from Plesk. At least this is what we do in cPanel. So, possibly in Plesk as well.
