    I want this to be like Hulu's player (widescreen with buttons off to the side)

    Take a look at the long tail video player - longtailvideo.com


    I think they even offer a video content management system, but I'am not 100% sure on that.

    If this is the only requirement, then I think this one, Moyea web player (http://www.playerdiy.com/) can meet your needs. It is free.
    It can easily make custom flash video player for website and add FLV to the player.
