    Hello

I am not a programmer and thus need info on the best total e-commerce hosting/developing site. I have been w/ Big commerce and like everything except the fact that it has major issues exporting products that will be accepted into a Google Feed. So, I need something similar to Big Commerce, but with a more user friendly feed to Google

Thanks for any help you can offer:confused::mad::p

I have coded couple of eCommerce websites and believe me Magento is best among them. It provides you easy options to sync with Google base and various Google API's. You can contact me if you need a demo of magento.

mahesh2011 Joomla is not an ecommerce solution it is the best CMS platform by which you can install an ecommerce extension that will enable the site to take orders online. If you really want a pure ecommerce platform, then you need to look into the other mentioned platforms.:)

open cart is one of the best e-commerce out there although they are a pretty new e-commerce they are simple and the default templates look good. It's the easiest e-commerce by far and is easy to handle products

People generally recommend the cart they started with so someone who starts with CRE generally recommends CRE (my primary background) over Zen even though both are very similar in features. The platform and admin you are most familiar with will always seem easier then when you try something new...and most people do not try or demo too many carts. Carts like Zen, CRE, Open Cart, Magento, Virtuemart, etc are all similar or at least have many of the same core features and options. There are differences but none of them will mean much to you.

Any of the carts above have the ability to create a Google Base feed export. Not all have it installed by default but any have the ability to purchase a module for a programmer to easily add to the site. So...you could simply try/demo a few of these platforms and if you find the perfect fit you can have the GB feed added if it is not a plug in by default. Another option I have seen is PrestoStore (different from Presta Shop) which is not an open source cart but they do talk alot on the site about SEO and included feed export options as one of their main focus points so it is worth a look.

For complete E-commerce solution nothing is better than Magento. You will get Marketing tools, Reporting and analysis, search engine friendly, easy to integrate with google APIs. very good GUI at backend.

I would like to recommend AJ Shopping cart for your ecommerce business, which can provide you more tremendous features. Or you can select Zeuscart which best and absolutely free open source cart , had more downloads.

I was trying out all e commerce before i opened my big commerce store non of them could give me all together what big commerce has to offer, I had try Volusion, magento ,network solutions, Go daddy, Amazon Store, Os commerce, core commerce, and many more. when I decided with big commerce I would get the best of all, Starting with the rich design templates and best costumer service what i didn't have on the all other top e commence platforms.
    And many more
Since than I recommend people to switch to www.bigcommerce.com/1141.html and they all say it was worth the effort.

Anyone hear tried Volusion? I have been running my online store using it and everything seems to be going great. They are a bit costly but everything evens out cause they really do everything for you. You can always sign up for a free trial and try it out. It will really cut your work in half and really knock down your overhead costs.

Try to compare the free template design what Volusion offers to big commerce, what about holding on line to get just a little help here in there, that's the reason I start with the trial just to try them out.
