Need CMS work

I am looking to get a big project coded into a CMS. Please let me know prices and how much time it would take. I need this ASAP.

What kind of CMS? can you give me detail?
How about wordpress,joomla or other free CMS

 

I was thinking Joomla but I am not sure if it will work with what I need.
I am looking for something that would have dynamic parts such as javascript that can update parts of the site without the whole page having to update.

 

Kind of hard to offer a quote when there's nothing to go on outside of "big project"

A big project for me is across 10 webservers with backup database servers and whatnot.

I am looking to get a site with 8 pages or so. I want a cms that would make it easy to add stuff to it. The site will have a part that is dynamic where parts of it refreshes without having the whole page to do so.

I am with theapparatus on this one. We develop high level web apps in various languages but I have no earthy idea the above quote means.

If you want to pm some specs I am more than happy to fire off some examples of our work.

Joomla is complete crap as well FYI. I spend about 5 hours a week un haxoring peoples joomla sites.

If that's all it is, I'd just hop over to typepad as I believe you can use AJAX there. (Probably what you would need for the refreshing) You would have to check on that though.

I would like a graphical interface CMS to make it easier to add more content to it. It is not a blog, but a site with different deals for different places. so when the user clicks on a shop name, the box would refresh with the different deals and information about the shop.

 

So you want a comparative shopping site? This would largely be dealt with using various api's. Still not specific enough though

If you can post more detailed info on the project , I can definitely help you with TABBED content display (based on Ajax) which will not refresh or reload the page .

But anyway as others poined , it would be difficult to estimate the time & cost without much details.

 

I'm done fishing for specifics. Have better things to do.

Here is as detailed as im going to get without giving so much information away.

It is a site for local bars and restaurants. It is set up in a way where the top part is a slide show then the part underneath it is a tabbed dynamic part. The dynamic part is a list of types restaurants on the left and different ones would pop on the right. then if a user clicks on one of the restaurants then the site would dim and a box would come on top with info on the restaurants. Thats basically it.
