Need CMS advice

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a decent CMS to run my (24-48man) guild

    what I need:

    1. News system
    2. User system
    3. Forum system
    4. Event system with signup

    Anyone know the best CMS to use? I've been looking into drupal & joomla! lately. Drupal seems heavy where Joomla seems unflexible

    Joomla won the best CMS award and I think it is very powerful yet simple to use. There are lots of extensions developed by third parties to enhance the joomla core functionality.

    I have launched several websites based on joomla for my clients and they are all satisfied with the result.

    It is secure, can be modified to become SE friendly and has a simple and easy to use administration interface.

    you can find great forum and event components on joomla extensions site.

    I'll say Joomla.

    For forum, I haven't come across a CMS with a built in forum (or any good one for that matter), there is a bridge for Joomla for using SMF you can check that out.

    e107 has a built in forum - and it's pretty good. Otherwise there is a port available to integrate phpBB2 or 3
