Okay the image I am using comes from a big company. I'm trying to talk about a certain product in my tech blog. This is what it says, My blog has adsense. Does that make me "commerical". Can I use this image or not? Any translating would be highly helpful . Skinny
Running AdSense doesn't make your blog commercial. HOWEVER, the fact that you're online makes you NOT print journalism and hence not able to comply with the terms you've quoted.
In a court, your website can be defined as "commercial" because it is technically sponsored and/or supported, at least in part, by Ad Sense. A non-commercial website would not be engaged in commerce. This all moot. Re-read the license. You can only use the image in a print Journalism environment that features Motorola products or services.
Well it seems i didn't violate anything. I got to use the pic and someone even checked my post, so they would e-mailed me (cause I e-mailed them) if they had problems with the ads. Thanks Skinny
While it violates the wording (theirs), they probably did not mind because you were promoting their product in a positive manner. Terms are normally a general guideline, but usage factors in heavily.
