Hi I am doing a site that involves Tarot readings (not online instant readings). I need to allow them to select their cards (and shuffle) like this site: "http://www.newagestore.com/Divination/Tarot/Celtic-Spread/Reading.aspx?int=kathy" Although I do want it to be more appealing looking. If you can help please post your price. I orginally posted in HTML/Design section but had no replies, so thought I should post here. Thanks in advance Dee
if you can write the algorithm of how exactly the site works the entire thing can be worked out in flash with a way lot better design.
Hi I will details what I need : I need to display the spread out deck of cards (as the example site does), but I don't want the "blank" cards underneath. I believe the tarot deck will have 78 cards (I will supply the images and names of each one). When someone picks a card from the deck that card along with it's name will appear underneath the spread out deck. I don't want the selected cards to appear all over the place (like the example site does), so if you select 3 they will appear in a straight line. Some reading will require a different number of cards to be selected i.e. 3 or 5 etc. So if done in Flash I would need a way to change this myself, like an xml file. That's it. If you can do this and make it look professional please can you let me know the cost. Thanks Dee
Some reading will require a different number of cards to be selected i.e. 3 or 5 etc. So if done in Flash I would need a way to change this myself, like an xml file. Explain this please. Also, what happens after the 3 or 5 cards are selected? What do you need editable from admin section, the card names and images? Please explain what happens after these cards are selected and lined up. Suppose i select card nos : 7 8 and 9 then what?
Hi Please ignore the xml part I was getting confused with something else. I will try to explain a bit more. They are basically offering personalised hand written tarot readings. This card deal function is solely for the purpose of allowing them to select a set number of cards, once they have made their selection, say 3 cards, and they appear with their names, that's it done. I will take it from their. I'm really just looking for the visual. The tricky part is the number of cards they are allowed to select because some reading will be 3 cards some will be 5, I think the only way to do this (am of course open to suggestions) would be take 5 as the maximum and if they try to select a 6th they will get a message stating that they have already selected the required number of cards and they won't be allowed to select any additional ones. The down side is that for the 3 card reading it will allow them to select an additional two cards before the message appears, but I can't see a way round it, I am open to suggestions They only plan to use one deck so I don't need a way of editing the cards and their names. Dee
i get your point but my question is unanswered, I select three cards, it gets displayed, then what? We can work out the limit of 3 or 5 somehow. Once these selected cards are displayed do we store them in database by asking the user to register or somethin and then display reports later? or is it just, display three cards and over? Maybe you could PM me your skype id, and we shall discuss there. Thank you for your co-operation.
Hi Just display the cards and over. The buy it now button from the shopping cart will have a text field where they can enter the names of the cards they have selected. They don't need to store the cards in a database or register, this function would be needed for online reports but they are not doing that. I don't use skype, sorry. If you can do this please let me know. Dee
can do it if you clear the shopping cart thing. that means they need registration system please mail us at include your phone number or MSN / yahoo id.
The shopping cart is irrelevent to what I am requesting here. I was simply explaining how the client would know what cards have been chosen before they click buy now. It doesn't require any kind of registration, please totally forget about the shopping cart what I am after here is all visual, nothing else.
