I'm looking for blog themes that look professional but don't cost any money and are ad free. If you have suggestions please post. Would be a great help. Thanks

Simple go through google search with term 'free wp themes' then you will get so many links there. Anyway have a look at

    skinpress.com
    topwpthemes.com
    zinruss.com/themes/

Also, what kind of theme are you looking for? Please give more details if you want us to help you find one - details such as color, columns, layout styles, etc.

Something like http://plannetworld.com/demo/ but different colors or http://flexibilitytheme.com/demo which are both nice. Looking for suggestions off those if all else fails maybe I'll just do the flexibility theme since it allows for much customization but I really wish I didn't have to buy a license to get rid of the insurance link at the bottom but its really not to major. Thanks to all replies so far can't wait to see more suggestions

I'm wondering where the designers are the have time to make these "free" templates for the public good.

I'm personally looking for a Audi A8 in "mint" condition for under 1k

great finds! I've bookmarked them. Always looking for niche specific wp themes. I did want to add that Brian Gardner of Revolution WP themes is in process of making professional niche related wp themes. He's already released a Real Estate theme. Not free, but highly recommended.

Hard to do without knowing the subject matter of your blog, what options you need or want, or even what you consider professional. Magazine Style ? Newspaper ? Photo ? Video ? Business? Portfolio ? Real Estate ? Finance ? Personal ? Dating ? Porn ?

Too vague. Do a Google search you will have more than enough results to keep you busy. Type in "Professional Blog Theme" and you get much the same varied response as in this thread.

Well aside from some people just being nice or having too much free time

    1) A lot of the designers will use free themes to drive traffic to their pay sites.
    2) A lot of themes have advertisements at the bottom that are sold or have ad's for the designers themselves to help build backlinks on any sites that use them
    3) Many sites that sell themes if they have a lot will make a few of their pay themes free if they are old or not being purchased (again giving them free traffic for people who see those and realize they like the pay themes 20x better.)
    4) Some designers are also attempting to build a portfolio of their work.

There are many reasons free themes can be made and most of them aren't out of the pure kindness of their hearts even though they can market it that way ;)

Its mainly a general article and tech blog if you want the niche specific to help give better suggestions. I posted some examples of theme/templates I like in the quoted post of mine above.
