    Hello,

I currently need Merchant Account for a Business that has Fixed Packages Selling. I want to use the same Account also for a Service Based Business where pricing differs. So can you suggest best merchant account which does not cost a lot or have a lot of charges and is suitable for India.

If there are other alternatives, do let me know (Not Paypal, Moneybookers, Alertypay as they reduce conversation rate)

    Eagerly waiting for your solutions.

    Thanks.

I think http://www.googleadvertise.com has good tools for mechands. I tried it and it's better than other merchands. But they need money to join but still more cheaper than many merchands.

Then I think PayPal is the cheapest option for you. None of the Indian Merchants will provide cheaper services than PayPal.
Several banks are providing their Merchant account services but as per the RBI rule, they can't setup Merchant accounts for IT services.

From other 3rd party option, as per my recent study, EBS is the cheapest option with compare to ccAvenue.
But still their transaction charges are higher on the end.
If you go for their highest level account, you need to spend 30K INR for initial setup and then 2400 yearly fees and transaction charge will be 3.25%.
But again they will cut service tax etc from your withdrawals so all in all this is gonna cost a lot.

    Hope this helps...

Hey, Great Info. I never know RBI is so bad LOL.
So paypal 2.9% is the best bet to go huh?

Paypal Website Payments PRO is not available in India? $30 one?

Clients conversion rate goes low if it goes to paypal site. Hence I am looking for merchant account even if it is Paypal, I am happy

Just have to ascertain whether they are genuine or not.

Actually I found it moments before this thread alert reached my inbox.

On further checking, it is a ibibo company, or you can say these both are owned by same parent company, along with tradus.in and few others.

    Parent company is http://www.naspers.com

But I think payu.in is going to take some time to become fully operational (just an observation) they have many broken links and nonfunctional areas.

Going to talk to them on phone tomorrow during business hours.
