Hello, my area is hobby electronics I have a website already which i tried to sell stuff by affiliate links before, but it was really really low income deals for me so now i want to steps things up alittle i want to sell things on my own this is where i need advice i see that i have two options 1-dropshipping 2-buying and selling myself i am on tight budget and will start with very litte small items to sell how do I select what to sell? Do I go to popular sites and just note the items down? How do I know what sells most? I don’t have much shot at this so I need to be precisely accurate… but if I use dropshipping this selection thing doesn’t need to be that accurate right? I mean because i dont carry inventory. but what are disadvantages of it?
Its tought to start dropshipping on a very tight budget, or anything business related. how tight is your budget
If you are opting for drop shipping You don't need to invest heavily in inventory, yet you can still offer thousands of items to your customers. Dig deep into google, to 10-20+ pages you shall find your Wholesalers!!
Dropshipping. It is a low-risk business model for you, since you only pay for a product after you have already completed a sale and collected the money from your customer. There's no risk of dead stock - no more worries about unwanted inventory. Many sites allow dropship orders for all registered customers with no additional charges, such as ankaka.com .You only need to find successful ways to sell the items...
Do some surveys in forums and other places. Try to gather data about what best to sell and what is popular. Look at existing sites, such as Amazon and Ebay for some more data. You will need to do your research.
What market are you looking to get into? drop shipping is a cheaper method to building your business but " you get what you pay for" meaning that its very hard to located valuable suppliers for you business. from an operational point you may need to focus on buying the products first and sending them directly to your customers.
