Need assistance on finding a website designer.

I'm slightly familiar with the designing process, as I've gotten into it years ago, but I don't have the time to do both that, and what I plan on using the site for. I'd rather put everything I have into the business side of things, so I'm willing to pay for the design.

Where I need help is (pretty simple actually), what is the best way of going about this these days? Yes I could easily run a search and pay the first design site out there and get things going. But with message boards these days providing hands on experience, I know there will be something that I wish I have done before jumping the gun (i.e. getting something for cheaper AND better quality).

So, what am I missing out on? Or who are some good design sites that are cost effective?

You can throw me a PM for any ideas.

If you prefer quality and precision, go for what other people recommend, not self advertisers.Whoever you choose, just make sure, they're doing quality projects, not quantity projects. And ask them if they'd provide any post sales support, some designers provide free support for 6 months or so.

Thanks, that's exactly my intention. As I said, it's easy to find service for a design, but I'd rather have an overall consensus from people who have had hands on experience. Thanks for the tip on the post sales support.
