Is a shorter name better than a longer name for a blogspot.com blog?

I have one with short title and the names of the articles show up on engines also.

I have ones with long titles that use more keywords but the article title doesnt show up on engine as title. It appears in the descript section.

I have been working on this trio of sites as a sort of hobby but i started getting traffic and pretty cool search ranking for some decent keywords. Without really trying, I need to know about the blog title length for an article on my i hate internet gurus blog and my own use on my blogs. So you guys have helped me do much as i am sure other who have never posted will agree. I read you guys because you seem like my kind of geeks and/or nerds. Jokes, tips, underground seo thats what keeps me coming back. well that and being a geek/nerd also. If you have the best answer let me know if i can quote from it on the ihategurus blog. I Will link back to your profile here. Thanks and please don't rib me too much for a first post like this. I never really had a question i couldnt find the answer already posted on here so i never posted. thanks

I have same results for both. It depends on how you market it.

However, a very long title might be "confusing" in the search result. It's quite "ugly" also.

Yes short titles, adding alot of words start to dilute your primary keywords.

Also think what a user will most likely search to find your page content and try to match it exactly. Most people average 3 word searches. So if your page was about Wordpress themes your giving away, "Free Wordpress Themes" would be better than "Free Wordpress Themes Designed by Husla at Domain.com"

I prefer using short titles, because visitor will sure remember the name if it's short, otherwise u maybe lose potential visitors because of your long domain

Short titles, decrease the length of the words used in title and increase the percentage of targeted keywords.

Size does not matter but the content!!!

The topic has to be eye-catching, especially the subject so that if any one looks at it, they have to click about the content or story. :)

Right, it doesn't matter on how big is your title but the important is the content.

Put the topic which is connected to content but very very indirectly :)

I was told 6-8 keywords with a keyword density of 1.....does this make sense? This was for websites, not blogs....not sure if their was a difference tho, the algorythm is the same.
