I can't find any </body> tags to put the code before, so I put the code on footer.tpl, 5 days ago from: templates/default/html/footer.tpl That is how I exactly put it: //--> Powered by <a href="http://www.wallpaperscript.net" title="Wallpaper script" target="_blank">W-script</a> v{$smarty.const.WS_VERSION}{$smarty.const.TRACKING_CODE|stripslashes} </p> <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> try { var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-10536803-3"); pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {}</script> </div> </div> PHP: However analytics Still saying that "Tracking not installed!!" Some help needed please
I think your location is not correct (not in footer anyway). If you have a wordpress site, search analytics plugin for this purpose.
at first submit your site on google webmaster and submit meta tag on it after it open your google analytics account submit your site and paste analytic code just before end of body tag
@thread starter: could you give the full list of template file? I thing, you using template frame work on your php code, but i can't give some suggestion because lack of information.
You're not using the default template. Looks like you;re using one called blueprint. Does that template have a footer.tpl?
I would double check if anlytics code is correct because if there is an syntax problem php would throw an error
A quick check of the code in the first post shows that even the previous code in the file doesn't match up with what's in the site right now. Checking the analytics code is moot since the poster is editing the wrong file.
No, I'm using the default one, and yes the template has a footer.tpl again, if it is OK, I could give the link of this script for you to check it.. Thanks for help
Hay! why you not checkeing your website View source from web browse. If you view source have analytic code login to your account Clieck on edit icon click on "check status" link I hope it will help
If you are using wordpress, you can place your code using widget option. You can find widget at Appearance->widget in your dashboard. In the widgets, you will have something called as Text. Use that and insert your analytics code in it.
You should place the analytics code in the header file, not the footer, and make sure you dont have any open brackets that are affecting the code in your site, check the code the validator here http://validator.w3.org
