Need an Amazon Associates alternative

Discussion in 'Affiliate Programs' started by Matthew Sayle, Sep 5, 2015.

Unfortunately I am unable to use the Amazon Associates program.

Looking for a good alternative for normal everyday products, not digital goods.

Something that doesn't need time for approval on each separate product is best because I usually add affiliate links on the fly, while writing an article.

I doubt that will come up.

Usually what I do is if I come accross a product while writing an article that maybe not everyone would know, I link to an affiliate product as an image/description source. It also doubles as a way to make a little extra cash.

    For example:

Use a muddler to crush the mint.

Maybe not everyone will know what a muddler is so I would link to a muddler on amazon.

I don't always know what the next link will be, it just kind of happens.

Like your attitude about writing an article. Maybe without strong purpose, but they are related life closely.
    Hoping we can cooperate later.

CJ.com bro.. it's not as easy or convenient as linking to an Amazon product, and you have to apply for each program. But, I don't believe there's a worthy alternative to Amazon Associates at this point in time. The closest thing would be this: https://affiliates.walmart.com/ - It sucks Missouri can't use Amazon, good luck man!

Yeah, one day I woke up and was no longer eligible.

It was a heck of a surprise!

That should teach everyone not to put all of your eggs in one basket, I could have gone bankrupt in a flash.

Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as you, as I live in Vermont. I totally relate to what you're saying about writing an article and popping in affiliate links to products where they are necessary and could serve as extra income. I'm starting up a review site/blog (just starting with books and music stuff at the moment) and I was thinking of using affiliate links in a very similar manner. It was a rude awakening when I talked to someone at Amazon about why I couldn't get approved and they basically just said, "You're in Vermont… Can't do it there." So now I'm looking for an affiliate program that offers a diverse range of products (from books to violin bows at the moment :)) but I think I may end up having to apply to several different programs. Much less convenient when you're trying to throw up links for stuff like violin bows or a bar muddler, for sure.

I ended up going to ShareaSale.com and looked for merchants that enabled "auto approve".

It's not as ideal as Amazon, but some of the merchants pay up to 20% with long-lasting cookies - so it works for me.

I would suggest searching for merchants in your niche that allow auto approval, so you don't have to wait.

Does Infolinks enable me to import affiliate products into my website?

I thought it was just for monetizing words in my articles.

Hi, Infolinks isn't an affiliate network, we work with direct advertisers on CPM and CPC rates.
If you are interested in affiliate products check out Viglinks or Skimlinks.
Infolinks works perfectly with any other ad solutions, so I would recommend you to try us in order to generate the most revenue from your site: http://www.infolinks.com/

Exactly, then why are you claiming that "Infolinks is a great Amazon Associate alternative"?

Infolinks and Amazon are nothing alike.

I appreciate your suggestion, but it seems like you're only after free brand exposure.
