Need affiliates desperately: will do whatever I can to find some

Hello. I work with a debt consolidation company and I need to know how I can find affiliates, and I am even willing to pay affiliates an upfront fee to sign up if they promise to produce at least one sale per day. I would appreciate help on where to locate affiliates, as I am willing to provide lucrative bonuses, and pay over $250 per sale. I will do whatever I can to attest my honesty, and my promise to pay up.

    Thanks.

It depends on if you are selling products or services. If you are selling products you can use clickbank, infusionsoft, paydotcom and others, for services I'm not as knowledgeable.

What kind of affiliates are you looking for? What product or service or whatever it is you want them to be promoting?

Have you tried any marketing yourself? Or did you just come here and plead for some help?

    Just wondering!

You can advertise here or any IM forum. If your product is of good quality you should not have any problem finding affiliates.

Here is a word of advice: when you're looking for something online, try not to sound desperate.
Why would affiliates work with you instead of working directly with the company? I don't get it.

I agree that you should never sound so desperate to get affiliates.

It has a lot of disadvantages. Firstly, it sounds to me like the company is still new and thus the credibility is still at stake. Secondly, desperation shows the lack of professionalism in marketing. Normally if the product or service is already selling well and has a good track record of sales & customer services, affiliates are more willing to promote as they can see the credibility in the company.

No one can promise you that he/she can bring in at least one sale per day. Maybe a very experienced marketer with a good list size or a site with high traffic can take up that challenge but to advertize in such manner may potentially invite scammers since the payment can be received in advanced before the full promotion period can be completed.

Here and other IM forums are great places to find people looking for more affiliate products to market. You can always advertise on Craigslist also.

Here are a few ideas to promote an affiliate program and recruit affiliates...

Webmaster affiliate or marketing forums would be a good place to start. (don't forget to add it to your signature)

Get listed in affiliate program directories.

Use adwords also. Bid on terms like
    - (Product) Affiliate program
    - (Product) Associate program

Write a few articles on how to promote affiliate products, how to make money from home promoting other peoples stuff, etc. Use your resource box to promote your affiliate program

Make sure your site has a footer link that links to your affiliate program details.

Not sure if you can do this, but being part of more then one 3rd party affiliate program management service opens up the doors to more affiliates. Checkout shareasale.com or other similar 3rd party type solutions.

If you have the budget, hiring an affiliate program manager is something worth looking into. They will recruit and keep the relationships strong with your affiliate partners.

Lastly, offer a 2 tiered affiliate program where affiliates can earn a % off the earnings of new referred affiliates into your program.
