I am planning to start my first "internet consumer company"... My company will have many projects/brand names.. I was wondering, if I had to trademark all the names or just my sole company...? I have a bit of time on my hands getting this all ready, and im ready to pay for a trademark in the US (where I live) to make shore I don't see lawsuits flying around..

Should I wait to get a trademark? Will I have to trademark all my brand names? Also, my slogan..? Will that have to be trademarked?

    all help is appreciated :)

Well, if you can, trademark everything you can trademark at the early stage so when you become popular, you be protected.

The official trademark process takes some time, so do it as early as possible. Also, if you are worried about other people using your product names, you will want to trademark them as well. Do a search for the trademarks before you apply, as the fee is non-refundable. You may even want to trademark the same name (say company name) more than once. Trademarks are not just for the name, but also for specific industries.
