I have an older domain, 10+ years, a 'real' site and not a micro niche or marketing or some such. It's a pretty active site with a good sized community, PR 5.

Obviously, I don't want to do anything to jeopardize its standing with Google. I do rent some links (5 from TLB) on it for $50 a month each, but that and some Amazon stuff is all I do. It's a pretty steady earner ~$400 a month pretty much on autopilot.

I was contacted by a marketer today who wants to rent a subdomain off the main domain: HISSUBDOMAIN.mysite.com. The subdomain would resolve to his own IP/Server. I've dealt with him before and know he won't throw up Bad Stuff.

    1. Do you think renting sub domains off authority sites is a good idea? Because I never thought of it, and if it is, I might look into doing some of that myself....

    2. What should I charge?

    Thanks!

a subdomain is considered as a different domain by google, so your client won't get any authority from your domain
he can buy a new domain for 10$ and get the same results lol
but if he wants to pay for it, why not :p

BTW do you sell in content links? and can i see your url?

I dont know if the age of the main domain passes to the sub-domain
but if it is considered as a different domain, i don't see why google would use the age of the main domain
