Well, a few months ago I hired a coder who said he could code my PSD to Vbulletin and Joomla. He said it would take '1 week' to do, and well he did start but now he doesn't reply to me at all and I gave him the job at the end of January..

Now he asked for a deposit of $60 , which I gave, but now I can't even get my money back from Paypal as the transaction is so old :(.

What should I do ? This guy seems pretty active on DP : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=125954 , I have tried multiple times to contact him to no avail, so I know he is just ignoring my messages and he doesn't have any intention of refunding me :(

He has actually done the work for you by spending so much time. I suppose you should have looked into a demo before giving the deposit as you cannot deny after the work is done and so much effort is added to complete the job.

No the deposit was for him to start the work, from what I could tell he did do some but stopped and hasn't done anything ever since.

Don't leave it too long to take action when you don't get your job done within the time frame given. After a week of not recieving the work you should have gave him an ultimatum: do the job or I open up a paypal dispute blah blah blah.
