Hey. So i got this website: www.guistyles.com/ It has many google index , so when people write guistyles.com the page was loading (it loads the wordpress page with index.php, the portal www.guistyles.com/index.php). Recently i've create a html page with links like to portal, forum etc. and put the file to guistyles.com , so now it is guistyles.com and load index.html (my link page). Then when you click "Portal" you got to guistyles.com/index.php So now, i want to know if this is ok by search engines. I got many index from google on that portla page and now the page is the link page, so should i make something to go to the index.php (i mean search engines robots). When they visit guistyles.com they should go to guistyles.com/index.php. Or not ? I hope you know what i am talking about.
Oh sorry, now I get it . So what your saying is: You have a portal, actually the wordpress index page which has been linked to alot and bots crawl it mainly. But lately you added an index.html that opens as a homepage instead of the portal. So you're asking which is better to use as a homepage the index or the portal? I'd go with the portal(WP). For many reasons including: Your site WP portal is updated alot by you posting entries, so now you have an adv. for using the portal and that is new content is reached easier than when you use an index based on images for linking. Many sites are linking to your portal and bots are used to your portal, so stick with the portal and give em what they like . Hope this helped.. .
Well i don't ask what is better because i need to move traffic to new websites, to other that the main portal. I was asking about the situation that i have now, should i add some news for rorbots, like robots.txt or something. Glad someone answer my questions.
