Hello, A couple of months ago, I found an offshore webhost here on Digital Point. 'webspaceme' is the name of the host. I have put a lot of work into my sites and they have been down for 3 days! The worst part is that the 'webspaceme' site is also down and emails I sent to their support are bouncing. Does anyone know how to get in touch with them? Has this ever happened to someone else? Any advice as to how to deal with this and get my data back? Any advice is appreciated! Webspaceme - If you are listening, I simply want my data or an ETA of when the sites will be online.
TBH, your F'ed, an offshore host in DP down for 3 days? They have most probably ran with your money and data. Do you have backups?
Webspaceme - If you do not respond to me within 12 hours from this post I will be performing a chargeback! I would much rather have my data!
Always backup your data and be sure your host of choice has been in existance for some time and owns their servers.
If they ran off with the money, a chargeback won't do any good, since PayPal cannot give you the money back if it can't get it from the seller's account... But as others have suggested before me, you should always back your data up.
You could try to send an email to , I think the server belongs to their datacenter... Ask them about the server which has this IP 94.102.51.87 (is the IP on which Webspaceme.com was hosted on). Maybe they will be able to give you some info. Hope this helps.
this IP is still online , but the domains do not resolve on the servers. i can advise to use the IP address as your ftp address and your username and password to see if it works to get your files and database.. contact me if you need help. they are on twitter : http://twitter.com/webspaceme may be you can contact them there..
I have already tried this, I can connect but I can't get past the password validation ( I am using the correct one).
if am seeing things correctly, the server has been reformatted. and it now runs on ISPConfig (an open source hosting control panel for Linux). So unless your server guy has the backup its very unlikely that you get your data back. Reg the domain, do you have the DNS control or the serverguy controls your domain as well?
You don't know much about PayPal's new policies do you? Even if you put the money in your account, PayPal will still get the money back if a chargeback is filed and you lose. They will basically start by mailing you and then escalating it to your bank. Not to mention, if your flagged by PayPal 10% of your earnings are automatically taken from every transaction and put into a "holding" account in case you get a chargeback for situations just like this.

Dude, if you have onshore shared/reseller/master, your data is still there. Anything else, you would (should) have got your money back, PM me your transaction ID and I'll sort that out for you. lol butthole? wtf
