Last year at this time, My Page Rank was up to 7/10. After being penalized by google for buying too much back links, I am now to 3/10. I have been struggling on getting my site up and getting organic results. Can anybody offer some tips or comments on how to get my site up and running again. Any comment or feedback is appreciated. After being penalized by Google, Have you stop buying links? You must. On my opinion, after penalizing your site, earning PR3 is quite good after what happened. You're great to have PR 3 as start. Just continue getting quality backlinks from do follow sites. For sure- Google will notice that and step by step gives back your PR 7. Thanks! I hope it helps.
I doubt you will get it back. Dirky, why would Google return the pr to 7? The pr7 was due to bought links, once they are removed (or discounted) the site is no longer entitled to be pr7...
I haven't seen many instances (just a couple here and there) where PR was restored after a penalty. Owners had to really work hard to get the PR back though
I think what Dirk means is that continue building quality links until vansgifts's website gain PR7...
Yes but its extremely hard to build quality natural links to get to pr7 in the first place without buying - if the site was capable of doing that naturally he wouldn't have been buying in the first place so forget ever seeing pr7 again.

Hi As all said it was due to buying links.I agree ,here are some of the other factors for being penalized: Duplicate content Submission to irrelevant categories Google algorithm update You have to rebuild the links by submitting to quality sites which will get back your desired page rank.
its very hard to get pr 7 back the main reason is that you have bought too many links. I agree with Dirk u r very fortunate to have pr 3 keep working on getting natural links and remain hopefull to get ur pr back
You already said that you buy too much links. You can still buy links just minimized it and make sure to look as natural links.
Thank you for the response Dirky. All of the prior links I bought are canceled and no longer active. I am now focusing on Blogging and Social Bookmarking strategies. Also preparing myself on a press release coming up for my Valentine's Day gift baskets, so I would like to use that as a tool to get the site some traffic. I appreciate your feedback and comments. Also, Do you have a list of this "Do-Follow" sites?
I believe Google accepts resubmitting sites after it was penalized. It is just a matter of time and actions that was done after. Thank you for your input.

What I'm trying to say is: keep on building quality links from quality sites. Then definitely, there will be a possibility to increase his PR. This is what I really want to point at. We all know that it is quite hard to gain PR 7 just to build quality links from different sites. But at my own opinion, it can be I think. Buying quality links will be a part. make sure from now onwards you make efforts to get not more than 50 links......if more then again google crawler will think you as a spammer and again your website will be blocked.......
