My boss has dropped a reseach project in my lap that I'm very unfamiliar with. What we are is a non profit arts organization wich currently runs a website. What she wants is a php/mysql cms-web builder that will: 1) be easy to use and make changes to the web page with 2) allow us to run a "membership" section with passwords 3) allow us to have a "submit your press release section" that you have to Log in to use 4) look nice. I am very much out of my depth. I've been looking around but the truth is I don't really have any idea of what to look at. I would seriously appreciate some advice on this subject from some people who know what they're doing! We're doing a grant proposal that has to be in by Fri, so I would truely appreciate some timely responses. Thank you so much in advance, i'll be eternally grateful if you can dig me out of the hole my boss has thrown me in!!!!!
I think Joomla has everything you need. You can check it out along with many other php/mysql CMSes at opensourcecms.com and give them all a test drive right there on the website.
